Descriptions

🀄 Master It in 30 Minutes. Win in 2 Hours. Talk About It Forever.

🫖 A Game? No. This Is Chinese Happiness in a Room.

Trade the skyscrapers for a table. Trade the noise of the city for the satisfying clack-clack-clack of ivory tiles. For three immersive hours, you won't just learn a game—you'll slip into the very heartbeat of Chinese social life. This is where friends gather, tea flows, and laughter echoes late into the night. Welcome to the discovery of "Chinese-style happiness."

🍵 Part 1: Tea, Symbols & Stories

We begin the way all good gatherings do—with steaming cups of Chinese tea warming your hands. No rush. No pressure. Just the gentle unfurling of a 300-year-old tradition.

Your instructor places the tiles before you. Suddenly, they're not just tiles. 🀫 Characters carry ancient calligraphy. 🀚 Dots hold the rhythm of coins. 🀡 Bamboo whispers of nature. And then the Dragons and Winds—each one wrapped in folklore, each symbol a tiny story waiting to be told.

Language? No problem. We guide you in English, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean so nothing gets lost between cultures.

🤖 Part 2: The Magic Table & The Secret Method

Now, press the button.

The automatic mahjong table whirs to life—pure "black tech" theater. Tiles shuffle and stack themselves with mechanical precision, rising from the table's heart like a magic trick. Watch the room react. This moment never fails to draw smiles. ✨

Then, our secret sauce: forget intimidating math. Forget memorizing complex charts. Our "14-Tile Puzzle" method strips away the confusion and takes you straight to the joy of building your first winning hand. In 30 minutes, you'll understand what once seemed impossible.

🏆 Part 3: Play, Laugh, Claim Your Glory

This is where it all comes alive.

Your coach stays by your side—not as a lecturer, but as a guide who gently "feeds" you the right tiles and whispers pro tips at exactly the right moment. Your first real game unfolds with the thrill of possibility. A wall of tiles. A drawn breath. The decision. The discard. The rush when everything clicks. 🎴

Then, the mini-tournament. You and your fellow travelers. Friendly fire. Playful rivalry. The clatter of tiles punctuated by gasps and laughter.

And when you win—snap. 📸 Capture your winning hand. Claim your official "Shanghai Mahjong Master" certificate. Victory has never felt this culturally rich.

Great cultural experience. Lily broke down the rules so clearly — even the Dragons and Winds made sense. The mini-tournament was a blast. The automatic table shuffling is so satisfying to watch. Left with a certificate and a big smile. 5 stars.

This was hands down the most unique experience I had in Shanghai. I walked in knowing absolutely nothing about mahjong and walked out with a 'Shanghai Mahjong Master' certificate. Xiao Chen started us with hot Chinese tea and an intro to the tiles — Characters, Dots, Bamboo, plus the Dragons and Winds. Each tile has cultural meaning and Xiao Chen explained the folklore behind them. Then the magic: the automatic mahjong table. You press a button and it shuffles and stacks all 144 tiles in seconds — it's weirdly satisfying to watch. The teaching method is called the '14-tile puzzle' — Xiao Chen strips away all the complicated math and gets you to the core of building a winning hand. We were playing real games within 30 minutes. Xiao Chen stood behind us during the first rounds, 'feeding' tips and helping us spot winning combinations. The mini-tournament at the end was the highlight — 4 of us competed and the energy was intense. I actually won a round, which earned me a commemorative 'Hu!' photo and the certificate. The whole thing runs about 3 hours and the pace is perfect. The group was small (6 people) which meant lots of individual attention. Tea was refilled throughout. If you want to understand Chinese social culture at its most authentic, this is the experience. Xiao Chen was outstanding — knowledgeable, patient, and clearly loved sharing the game. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something beyond the usual tourist activities.
